After Jean Francois Millet
24x24 acrylic
I love the Van Gogh and Millet reproduction paintings that I have because they remind me of being in France, driving down to the Pyrenees Mountains every weekend and seeing the beautiful countryside. They also bring back memories of walking through the museums, and being so amazed at how someone could have such talent.
They bring me a sense of calm and peace, seeing the women working in the fields, maybe because I worked on a farm for so long and can identify with the labor.
Also, yellow is my favorite color and I love how it contrasts with the blue in Van Gogh's and how it is softer and more abundant in Millet's. I love them both! Thank you so much Jodie!

Lily
20x20 inch acrylic
The painting of a stargazer lily that I have from Jodie Richardson Traugott is beautiful and so special to me. I originally chose it because the lily pictured reminds me of my late brother. But the longer it hangs in my house, the more times I stop to admire it, noticing different beautiful details each time.
Friends regularly compliment me on the painting, which they have not done with other artwork I have had in the past. It truly is a thing of beauty that brings both pleasure and peace to my heart.

My portrait is the most stellar gift I have ever received. Jodie has melded her motherly love for me with her artistic abilities and captured my exact likeness.

Koi Pond
20x24 pastel on paper
I love it. It resonates so well with what I love about painting.....color.....
your use of colors that don’t actually depict the "real" colors of nature but instead create a wonderful almost mystical or enhanced vision of reality. I can go for a long walk in your world and feel refreshed. Your work is very inspiring.

Dancer Adjusting Her Slipper
after Edgar Degas
36x48 acrylic
I have acquired 7 paintings from Jodie Traugott. So many of them are my favorites for particular reasons, but I’d like to share with you one that resonates with me the most. I have the reproduction of the Degas ballet dancer in my dance studio. I have been a dance teacher for many years and this painting reminds me every day of the discipline and beauty of dance. This particular painting is who I want to be…and somehow who I am inside, though my outside may not look the same. Thank you Jodie for the inspiration and beauty that you impart through your paintings.

Flowers by the Pool
24x36 acrylic
I love the colors and the Impressionist feel to Jodie’s paintings. I have a large one that is a sunflower that is the focal point of my kitchen, and a border garden along a fence painting, over my sofa that has many positive comments and is very soothing and creates warm thoughts. I love all her printed cards and they bring joy to me and the recipients!

One thing about Jodie’s art work that amazes me is her versatility. She is a master with acrylics, oil and pastels and paints in a variety of styles. Her dog and people portraits are exquisite, florals touchingly beautiful and abstracts amazing.
I have been an art student in many of her workshops and have learned so much from her and appreciate her input when I paint myself into a corner and need her help to get out of it! Definitely my favorite artist and teacher!
